Janet Jackson was born in Gary, Indiana, daughter of Katherine Esther (née Scruse) and Joseph Walter Jackson.[4] She is the youngest of nine children. The family was of lower-middle-class and devout Jehovah's Witnesses. By the time she was a toddler, Janet's older brothers: Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael had already begun to perform on stage at nightclubs and theaters as the Jackson 5. In March 1969, the group signed with Motown Records, and by the end of the year the group recorded the first of their four consecutive number-one singles. The Jackson 5's success allowed the entire family to move to the Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles, California in 1971. The Jacksons settled in a gated mansion that they referred to as "Hayvenhurst."

As a young child, Janet's career aspiration was to be a jockey. However, after the Jackson 5's success began to diminish, Joseph decided to bring use the rest of the children in the act. Akshay Kumar, recently wounded himself so badly while working out at his home gym that he started to bleed.

A source says, “Akshayji has been shooting for a week now. He was at his bungalow in Karjat when the accident happened. He was doing pull-ups on the bar when the rod broke. He injured his hand and hurt his back. “

”when Vipulji heard this, he rushed to his house and was stunned to see Akki bleeding and decided to cancel the shoot but every body knows how professional is Akki. He insisted that the show must go on. Akshay came back to Mumbai in the evening and was back in Karjat on Thursday to resume shooting. He was treated right there and then in Mumbai. Now he’s able to move around as he resumed shoot from yesterday.”

Well whoever have watched Preity Zinta’s latest flick Videsh, must have left gaping with horror as the bubbly actress is seen with a King Cobra wrapped around her neck in one of the scenes.

Preity recounts the scene and says,”I had nightmares even before I shot for the scene. I had to put my hand into a hole in the ground, take out this big, long snake and just hold it but also put it around my neck. Deepa wasn’t sure I’d be able to do it. So she suggested a digital snake instead of a live one. It would’ve looked just as authentic. Perhaps even more, because of the movements of a digital snake would be more controllable. But it didn’t make sense. It was an authentic film and digitalising this scene would have completely marred the point of the film.”

Preity adds, “Surprisingly I did it. After I got over my initial revulsion and fear, I was fine with the snake. People who have seen Heaven on Earth wonder how I could take such a long snake around my neck. But isn’t that what true acting is all about.”

Videsh is loosely inspired by Girish Karnad’s play Naag Mandala, which shows a abused wife imagining a Cobra as a loving husband, a complete opposite to her real life husband.

Jai and Aditi will be back again, as Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na director Abbas Tyrewala is planning a sequel for his teenage hit flick, this time the movie deals with Jai and Aditi’s marriage woes.

Abbas says, “It starts with Jai (Imran Khan) and Aditi (Genelia D’Souza) having problems in their marriage. They are on the verge of a divorce after Jai ends up drunk and having a onenight-stand.”

She says, “Awards are just trophies and if all of them have gone to an actress who has done around 12-13 South Indian films already, what can you say? People have appreciated my performance in Fashion and their SMSes are my rewards.”

This is what many villagers said to Aishwarya when she was shooting for Mani Ratnam’s Raavan in Kolkatta.

At the shooting site in Ghat, Ash was supposed to shoot a scene in a boat and the whole ghat was buzzing with eager onlookers.

A eyewitness reveals, “Several of them even tried to swim towards the boat to get a closer glimpse of Aishwarya. When she was shooting alone a few fans kept shouting ‘I love you’ to her. However, interestingly the ‘I love yous’ changed to ‘Bodhi’ (sister-in-law in Bengali) as did the tones as soon as hubby Abhishek came on the sets. This amused Mani Ratnam too.”

Bollywood Actress Kangana Ranaut is hardly having any films on hand apart from the recently completed Hritik Roshan starrer Kites. Despite having scored a solo hit this year with Raaz 2, not many makers are rushing to sign her. The reason we found left us stumped.

Producer who go to sign are told by her to sign her boyfriend Adhyayan Suman as her co-star as she feels she shares the best on screen chemistry with him.

But she fails to understand that though the guy is not that bad an actor he does not have the kind of market that Bollywood producers want to target.

Not everyone is as good as the Bhatts to generate a lot of hype for their film without spending money. After all everyone cannot hire Mahesh Bhatt as their spokesperson for free.

Their first film Raaz –2 was a big box office success and Kangana Ranaut believes that all the films with Adhyayan in the lead will bring in many more successes.

She has clearly told directors to now come to her only if they have a script good enough to cast Adhyayan in the lead role. Only big filmmakers and big production houses are exempt from this clause. If you want Kangana in the lead and can sign on Adhyayan, you know what to do.
